Allan DeBlasio, 60, of Cromwell, husband of Patricia (Wilcox) DeBlasio for 30 years, passed away early Thursday morning, November 5th. Born in Waterbury, he was the son of Anna (Rayder) DeBlasio of Waterbury and the late John DeBlasio. Allan’s professional career was spent as a nursing home administrator. Most recently, he served as the administrator of Saint Mary Home in West Hartford. He was a member of Hartford Obedience Training Club where he trained his dogs, Fudge and Baker. Allan and Fudge were also volunteers at Hartford Hospital. He was a veteran serving in the United States Marine Corp. Allan was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing, and loved his family very much and was looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild, due in December. Besides his wife, Allan is survived by his daughter, Allison DeBlasio, her husband, Joey Marsocci and their son, James Marsocci of Middletown; and his son, Eric Pope and his wife, Erin of Wallingford. He also leaves his sister, Sandra DeBlasio Mullen of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his two brothers, Jeffrey DeBlasio of Branford and Stephen DeBlasio of Queens, NY, and his nieces and nephews, Michael, Eileen, Jill, Jeffrey, Marysa, Julie, Rick, Maggie and Abby.
