We mourn the death and will celebrate the life and legacy of Alisa Nicole Bevil of Jasper, Texas.Alisa Nicole Bevil was born November 8, 1980 to proud and loving parents, Rafford and Glenda Bevil.Alisa was raised in a nurturing Christian family and from an early age was taught to put God first. She was a member of West Chapel Baptist Church in the Sharpville Community of Newton County. She participated in the Jr. Choir and later the Senior Choir. As Alisa matured in Christ, she later served as Sunday School Secretary.As a child, Alisa always loved and exceled in school. She attended Burkeville Elementary School and Rowe Intermediate School. While in high school, she was outstanding athlete and scholar. Upon graduating from Jasper High School in 1999, she received her Nurse’s Aide Certification from Angelina Junior College.Alisa was a hard worker, always determined to make a better life for herself and family. Her magnetic personality allowed her to connect with an assortment of people. Later in 1999, she entered the workforce at the McConnell Unit in Beeville, Texas. Alisa transferred to Woodville High Tech Prison to be closer to her family. She worked there for five years until she decided to pursue a degree in phlebotomy from Angelina Junior College. She was employed at Christus Memorial Hospital as a Phlebotomy Supervisor from 2007-2012. February 6, 2012, Alisa moved to Houston and began working at Lab Corp as a PST Leader and Site Coordinator. Alisa was beautiful and nurturing like her mother, yet strong like her father. Her personality captured the young and old. She was classy, sassy, determined, and had a heart of gold. Our Eastern Star will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.Left to cherish Alisa’s memories are her parents Rafford and Glenda Bevil. Her amazing daughter, Takirah Seale, her grandmother, Beadie Adams, God-daughter, Elexus Grant, special friend, Cobie Moody, and a host of other family members and dear friends.
