Alicia Riach, passed away at home on March 27, 2012. Alicia was born and lived in Peru until her marriage to James Riach and the birth of their first daughter. As James’ work required him to move from country to country, Alicia and her growing family (3 more children) also moved to and lived in Colombia, Argentina and Brazil until coming to Miami 40 years ago. Because of her interest and curiosity about a wide range of topics, Alicia was one of the original members of the University of Miami’s Institute for Retired Professionals. Her interest in fashion took her to Florida Int’l University, where she studied Fashion Design. She also had a passion for nature and the arts, compassionate to all forms of life.
