Alice Turner Brown, 71, of 525 Sedgefield Drive, Martinsville, VA died Friday, April 22, 2011 at her home. She was born on May 23, 1939 in Callands, VA to the late Edgar “Ted†Turner and Lena Parsons Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benford “Buck†Brown; son, Alan Hodges and great-granddaughter, Alanna Pagans. Mrs. Brown was a member of Friendly Christian Church and the Christian Women Fellowship. She worked for MW Manufacturing “Plygemâ€. Surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Judith “Judy†Saunders and Charles “Buddy†Saunders of Martinsville, VA; brother and sister-in-law, Robert Turner and Diona Turner of Martinsville, VA; granddaughters, Crystal Hodges of Nebraska City, Nebraska and Heather Hodges of Clearbrook, VA; two great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews and special caregivers, Carol, Renee, Shirley and Sandra.
