Alice Tomaselli 56 passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville.

Alice struggled with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) for many years. After a long battle with this disease, Alice elected to enter into hospice services while surrounded by loving and supportive family and friends. Alice passed quietly in her hospital room in the early morning of Mardi Gras, the timing of which was sure to bring her great amusement.

Alice was born to Joseph and Madeline McChesney in Manhattan, New York. She was the oldest of four girls and, as her mother described it, loved the champagne lifestyle; sometimes she was jokingly called Alice of the Palace. She was married twice and had three children whom she loved dearly. She was an avid lover of motorcycles and often enjoyed riding on the back of a Harley. She was described as a force of nature, both fiercely independent and, for better or worse, loved making her own path.

Alice is survived by her three children and their families in Wilmington, NC: Jennifer Rayle and her husband Jonas Rayle along with their sons Jack and Jennings. Her twin boys Robert J. Tomaselli and Michael J. Tomaselli along with her wife Alexandra Brett. She is survived by her three sisters, Magdalen McChesney of Dumont, NJ; Jodi McChesney of Little Ferry, NJ; and Debra Mack of Howell, NJ. She is survived by three nephews Joseph McChesney and his wife Ashley and son Riley, along with Raymond and James Mack.
