After tragically losing her husband to cancer she moved back to Albuquerque to be close to family and raise her children.

Alice was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and watching her son Willie play basketball for Manzano High School (State Champions 1973 and 1974) and her grandson Tim at La Cueva (State Championship 2009). She also enjoyed watching her son and son in law coach basketball for Del Norte, West Mesa and La Cueva high schools.

Alice enjoyed working at the Commissary at Kirtland AFB and Costco to stay busy. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, reading, traveling and going to the Casinos.

Special thanks to the staff and nurses of Hospice of New Mexico and her caregivers Bernice Romero and daughter Sadie Pino for their compassion and care for the past 5 years!

Special thanks to family, friends and Sadie’s lifelong girlfriends “the Lola’s” for all their help during these difficult times of grief!
