Alice Mae Bond

Alice Mae Bond, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away on November 24, 2021 due to a heart condition.  Alice was preceded in death by her husband Wendell Bond, brothers George and Bill Hess and is survived by her two children, Byron Bruce Bond of Littleton, Colorado and Mary Fletcher (Bond) of South Bend, Washington, a daughter in law, Cindy Bond, a son in law Andy Fletcher and a granddaughter Kat Bond and her husband, Dan Wcislo.

Alice was born in North Dakota  where she attended the University of North Dakota, earned her teaching degree and moved to  Rawlins Wyoming where she taught Home Economics and worked as a dietician at Rawlins Memorial Hospital.  She married Wendell K. Bond of Sinclair Wyoming and they moved to Denver, Colorado where Alice taught Home Economics and Vocational Tech for Denver Public Schools.  After earning her PHD Alice worked at Oklahoma State and University of Manitoba as a professor.  She retired in 1978 and she and Wendell moved to Payson Arizona until Wendell’s passing in 2001.  In 2015 Alice moved back to Denver to be closer to family.

Alice was a master teacher, gardener, seamstress, cook and bridge player.  She enjoyed traveling later in life to Europe, Canada, Mexico and throughout the U.S.
