Alice M. Soboleski, 104, passed away at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Sprenger Health Care of Mishawaka.

She was born on August 1, 1909 to the late Frank L. and Stella (Radaj) Dobski in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with her parents; she was preceded in death by her son, Patrick H. Soboleski; and two brothers, Theodore and Edmund Dobski.

Mrs. Soboleski worked as a secretary at Studebaker for 16 years. She then worked for 17 years for the Department of Defense in South Bend, before retiring in 1972.

On July 28, 1945, as Alice M. Dobski, she married Henry J. Soboleski at St. Hedwig Catholic Church in South Bend, IN. He passed away on May 19, 1992.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Allen) Marker of Bremen, IN; daughter-in-law, Justine Soboleski of South Bend, IN; four grandchildren, Alissa Soboleski of South Bend, IN; Patrick J. (Cristina) Soboleski of Whitestown, IN; Stacy Marker-Miller (Nick) of South Bend, IN; Kyle Marker of Monroe, MI; and one great-granddaughter, Claire Miller of South Bend, IN.

Alice was a lifelong member of St. Hedwig Parish, where she belonged to the Rosary Society and Golden Cluster. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella; The Associates of St. Joseph; and Government Retirees. Alice was also a former volunteer for Hope, Faith and Charity Chapel; Catholic Charities; Hannah Lindahl Children’s Museum; and Memorial Hospital.
