Her faith was very important to her. She was an active member of the Immanuel United Methodist church, serving in the Ada Circle and as a member of the bell ringing choir. She also was one of twelve members of an ad hoc group at the church, which Bob Bagley christened the “Dirty Dozen”. The Dirty Dozen enjoyed playing cards and going out to eat together.
Alice was an avid bird watcher; she would ride her ATV or motorcycle off road into the woods so she could observe the birds in their natural habitat. She also liked to play bridge and go to Prairie Meadows where she played craps and was known to be one of their best players. She also enjoyed growing flowers and was a member of the Urbandale Garden Club for many years.
Alice is survived by her sons, Michael (Colleen) Zeller, Thomas Zeller, Wayne (Lynn) Zeller and her brother Owen (Geneva) Leslie; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren; as well as many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard Zeller, daughter Nancy Zeller, brothers Jess and Paul Leslie and sister Faye Chase.
