Alice L. Schwarz, 94, of Newton died on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Newton Health Care Center.
Alice, the daughter of Olie and Lulua (Janes) Boots, was born on May 17, 1927, in Minnesota. As a child her family moved to the Panora, Iowa area where she would grow up. Following her graduation from Panora High School, Alice taught at a one room schoolhouse in Dale City. In 1946, Alice was united in marriage with Raymond Moyers in Guthrie County. They made their home in Newton beginning in 1950. Alice sold Avon in Newton for over 34 years. After Raymond’s death in 1985, Alice was married to Floyd Schwarz in 1990 in Monroe.
