Alice Jean Harvey 1936-2014 Alice Jean Harvey, age 77 of Sharpsburg, GA passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014. She was born in New Brighton, PA on May 5, 1936, to the late Eugene Bartchy and Esther Schaney of New Brighton, PA.
Alice worked for TWA Airlines before becoming a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Donald Harvey, 75 of Sharpsburg who passed away on September 13, 2009. He was born in Johnson City, TN on September 26, 1933. Joe Harvey was an air traffic controller in the U.S. Air Force and later worked for Delta Air Lines for 36 years as supervisor of the audiovisual department. During their 52 years of marriage, they both enjoyed reading, gardening, photography, and traveling. Alice and Joe Harvey are survived by their children, Joleen Hurley and her husband Reed Hurley of Bastrop, TX; Nancy Milner and her husband Ray Milner of Senoia, GA; Pam Brumfield of Franklin, GA. They are also survived by their grandchildren, Amanda Hurley, Joseph Hurley, Caleb Milner, Rachael Milner, Justin Brumfield, and Carrie Brumfield.
