She was united in marriage to Charles B. Jakanski on May 10, 1940. Together with her husband and brother owned and operated Sportsman Center Bar & Bowling Alley. She is survived by her three children; Richard Jakanski, Carole (Joseph) McNally, and Sharon (Jan) Lotz. Also surviving are her beloved eight grandchildren; Mark Jakanski, Lori Jakanski, Michael McNally, Melissa (Mike) McCallister, Ryan McNally, Shannon McNally, Steven (Jina) Lotz, Alicia (Malcom) Dunn as well as five great grandchildren, Carly, Rex, Cameron, Jazlyn and Trent.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband Charles, brother Bernard Kovalczyk, and sister Helen Maher. Alice loved every aspect of being a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, gardening, canning, sewing, which made for a happy home. Alice brought many years of joy to her family as she rarely missed watching her grandchildren’s hockey, softball, tennis, or baseball games. She continued her love for learning as an avid reader well into her ninety’s, keeping abreast of the sports teams she enjoyed watching along with current events. Alice always had a smile and a kind word to say to all she met.
