Alice E. Weinzetl age 91, of Mallard, Iowa passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020, in Emmetsburg, Iowa. Alice Eleanor Schumacher was born October 7, 1929, near Ringstead,Iowa. She was the daughter of Leonard and Mary (Bradley) Schumacher. She was raised in Emmetsburg, Iowa and attended the Emmetsburg Catholic School. She graduated in 1948. After graduation, Alice worked at Beatty’s Café in Emmetsburg. She was united in marriage to Clarence Weinzetl on February 12, 1949, at Assumption Catholic Church in Emmetsburg. Alice and her husband farmed many places in the Mallard area. She was a member of the Mallard Legion Auxiliary and Christian Mothers for many years. Alice enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, gardening, raising chickens, knitting, embroidery, crocheting and many other hand stitch projects. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Weinzetl of Sioux City and Susan (John) Feld of Swea City; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Nairoviz)) Feld, Amy (Don) Mumford and Jason (Jessica) Feld; great-grandchildren, Rylee M. Feld, Dakota J. Mumford, Madalynn J. Feld and Josephine E. Mumford and sisters, Therese Buryonek and Karen Zylstra. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence “Doc”; son, James; four brothers and four sisters.
