Sorry to announce the passing of Alice Dorothy Praegitzer Jolley Ferrin born on July 1, 1923 in Kimama, Idaho. She passed on July 7, 2017 in American Fork, Utah. Widow of the late Norman E. Ferrin and daughter of the late John Praegitzer and Regina Heer Praegitzer. Alice was always equivocating about her age and went to successful extremes to hide it but now the cat is out of the bag. Her secret to the fountain of youth was “picking an age and sticking with it”.

She is the last sister in the Praegitzer family to go on to her eternal reward. She was preceded I death by Lenora Praegitzer Miller, and her sister Virginia (Ginny) Praegitzer Bohler, Barker, Jolley. She leaves two brothers behind: Ray Praegitzer Burley, Idaho and Dick Praegitzer Meridian, Idaho.

She also leaves behind her 3 children: Rita Sharon Jolley Phillips Eagle Mountain, Utah, Wayne Russell Jolley Anchorage, Alaska and Clyde Lamont Jolley last known residence in Twin Falls Idaho. As well as dozens of grandchildren and even a few great-grandchildren scattered in California, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah.

Alice loved people. She worked as a server at Perkins Restaurant in Burley Idaho until she was 90. She bowled for more than 55 years. She always bragged about the 300 game she got with 8 pin no tap. She was a volunteer at Cassia Regional Hospital for over 25 years. She enjoyed doing volunteer work for the Lady Lionesses and was also a Lady Elk. Alice spent the last year and a half of her life at Bel Aire Assisted Living Memory Care in American Fork, Utah. She had everyone there believing that she had actually bowled a 300 game as she had the newspaper clipping to prove it. She enjoyed dancing, playing her accordion and her organ until just a couple of weeks before her body started to decline and shut down. She had activities every day to keep her busy. She was proud of the ceramics and quilts she had made that she had on prominent display in her room for all to enjoy again and again.
She maintained her sense of humor and quick wit to the end. We are sure she is happy to return to Rupert to be retired until the resurrection.
