Following a long battle with Alzheimers, Alice Anne Bibby passed away December 26, 2016, at Sunrise Hillcrest ASF, Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert C. (Ted) Bibby and her granddaughter, Clare Sinnett.
Born in Dallas, Texas, in 1927, to Trudie and Barton Wallace, Alice Anne grew up in Highland Park and attended Texas Womens College, the University of Texas and Southern Methodist University, where she graduated with a BA degree in Art. Ted and Alice Anne were married in 1947, and settled in Dallas. For a short time they lived on the Marine Corps base in Cherry Point, NC. Later they moved to Highland Park, where they lived until Ted’s death in 2004.
Alice Anne was an accomplished artist, a swimmer and tennis player, a longtime member of Highland Park Presbyterian and Park Cities Presbyterian churches, a gardener and a loving mother. She was a kind and gracious woman who suffered a cruel disease with patience and courage. Alice Anne was a beautiful woman who had no conceit and continued to smile, regardless of the challenges she faced every day.
