ALI ROBERTO YMER
After a valiant fight with cancer, Al Ymer returned home to live with his Heavenly Father on July 18, 2012 in Santa Barbara, CA.
Al was born in New York on April 11, 1930 to Arsina Nantel and Begir Ymer, both of whom preceded him in death.
Al tried to join the army when he was 14 by using his brother’s I.D. He got caught and was sent home. He later joined the Air Force when he was 17. After serving for 12 years, he joined the Navy and that is what brought him to Ventura County where he eventually made his home. He was discharged from the Navy in 1965.
From previous marriages, Al leaves four children: Diana Lynn Coult of Michigan, Duane Ymer, Timothy Labrosse and Matthew Ymer, all of Washington.
Al married Wanda B Hainline on January 17, 1966 in Oxnard, CA. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Latter-Day Saint Temple in Los Angeles.
Al worked in the produce industry for 35 years.
