Alfredo D. Villanueva, loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and mentor is safe at home on January 11, 2018 at age 67. Fred was born November 26, 1950 to Alfredo B. and Enedina R. Villanueva. He enjoyed and touched many lives volunteering his time coaching baseball and softball, among other sports for over 30 years in Harlingen with Pony Baseball Association at Harlingen National Bronco League, American Little League at Pendleton Park and was well known for his competetive and fair coaching throughout the state. He instilled the importance of teamwork, hard work and taught kids values of life that they still carry with them today. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and retired from United States Postal Service. He is preceded in death by his father, Alfredo Balli Villanueva, and aunt, Maria Guadalupe Ramirez.Fred is survived by his loving children, Mia K. Mullins and Jacob F. Villanueva (Kathryn I. Arnold), grandchildren, Jett D. Mullins and Blake Alexsandra Mullins, mother, Enedina R. Villanueva, Siblings, Armando R. Villanueva (Rick) and wife Mary Jane, Alexandria Roy and husband Don, Arian Jose Villanueva and wife Nelda and Antonio Villanueva and wife Janice and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.
