Alfred was born and raised in Picayune. He graduated from Picayune Memorial High School. Alfred went to one year of college and then enlisted in the US Army, he served 23 years, then moved to New Orleans, LA, and married Barbara Faunce. He was preceded in death by his parents, Khai Stockstill and Alena Easley Stockstill; and his wife, Barbara Faunce to cherish his memory is his friend, Celeste Carter.
