Alfred Paul Schmidt, 82, passed in Colorado Springs January 9, 2022. He was born July 29, 1939 in Newton, KS to Albert & Alma Schmidt. He was raised in Newton and entered the Marine Corp right after high school.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife and son, Douglas. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Julia, and a brother, Armand. Other close family was Elizabeth Bugg, Richard Biedebach, Doris Wimpress, Virginia Payer, Orville Schmidt, Robert Schmidt and Jane Hoppenworth.
