Alfred J. Scheuring of New Milford was 90 when he passed away peacefully Saturday October, 10th. Born in Jersey City, Alfred grew-up in Cranford, New Jersey. He and his late wife of 54 years, Josephine, would later purchase their first home in North Bergen, before moving to New Milford and settling there where they raised their family and had lived since 1956. Alfred proudly served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943-1946. He worked for many years for United Fruit later retiring from Hackensack University Medical Center in 1995. He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (nee Stanecki), the loving father of Theresa Aluise, Joanne Campbell and her husband Scott, Margaret Marcazo and her husband Paul, Michael Scheuring and his wife Danielle, and Maribeth O’Malley and her wife Eileen. Alfred was also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
