Alfred J. McCue, 80, Huntington, IN died at 11:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2009 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN.Mr. McCue was born February 14, 1928 in New York, NY. Alfred had fond memories of growing up at Mount Loretto Orphanage, Staten Island, where he met his wife Florence Kelly.
They married January 25, 1947 in Long Island, NY. She survives and lives in Huntington. Mr. McCue retired as a construction foreman in The Village of Garden City, New York.He was member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, New York, NY. Mr. McCue was a veteran, serving in the United States Navy.
Additional survivors include 4 sons: James McCue and wife Mary, Huntington; Michael McCue, North Babylon, NY; Alan McCue and wife Roxanne, Wonder Lake, IL; and Joseph McCue and wife Katie, Henryville, PA; 3 daughters: Margaret Teddy and husband Joseph, Huntington, Patricia Rivera and husband Bill, Tobyhanna, PA, and Mary Ann Ferguson and husband Jerry, St. James, NY; 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. One son: Johnny, one brother, three sisters and two grandchildren preceded Mr. McCue in death. Mr. McCue particularly enjoyed weekend trips to church and outings in Central Park.
