Alfred H., Jr. “Fred” Passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the age 79. Alfred was born in Battle Creek, MI on April 26, 1936. He was a loving family man, who will be missed by many.
He served with the Army National Guard. He was an avid sports fan of many Michigan teams, especially of the Tigers and Lions. He enjoyed bowling and loved animals. He was married to Mary Jane (Chappell) Hitchcox on December 27, 1979; she preceded him in death on June 6, 2011.
Alfred is survived by his son, Scott A. Hitchcox of Portage; step-daughter, Susan (David) Vendeville of Parchment; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Mark (Kathy) Hitchcox of Union City, Dianne (Larry) Parkison of Union City and Thomas (Pam) Hitchcox of Utica; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Hitchcox.
