Details: Alford “Al” Shinaberry, 83, died at his residence where he had lived since 1955, on September 27, 2015. Mr. Shinaberry was born in Baltimore Maryland on December 13, 1931 to The Late Vaughn and Helen Shinaberry. He served Honorably in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1960 and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Shinaberry worked for American Oil and then U.S. Gypsum for over 30 years retiring in 1995. He was a member of Magothy Chelsea Community Lutheran Church. He was also a singer for Sons of the Severn. Mr. Shinaberry’s hobbies were singing, gardening, woodworking, and he built his own house. He was preceded in death by his son, James E. Shinaberry; 1 brother; and 4 sisters. He survived by his wife of 63 years, Nola Shinaberry; his sons, Alford “Al” L. Shinaberry Jr, Terry Shinaberry; and his brother Vaughn Shinaberry Jr, 4 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
