COMBES, TX. – Alfonso Villarreal, 75, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015, at his residence in Combes, Texas. He was born in Linares, N.L. Mexico, and settled in Santa Rosa, where he lived for many years.Alfonso was a resident of Combes since 1984. His passion was music and he began playing the accordion at age 13. Alfonso founded and was a member of “Los Cuatro Del Valle”. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grand-father, brother, and uncle.Alfonso is preceded in death by 3 sisters, Irene, Delia V. and Connie Garcia; his brother Beto V., and his 2 grandsons Michael Jason Torres and Dustin Ryan Torres.He is survived by his loving wife, Eva C. Villarreal; his children, Jose Alfonso V. (Margarita), Suzie V. Torres, Raul V. (Janie), Julian V., Becky V. Zamarripa (Raul), Daniel V. (Anabel), Jaime Valdez (Naomi Trevino), Alfonso V., Jr. (Reyna), Imelda V. Rios (Felipe), and Luz Maria V.; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Teresa Villarreal, Alicia Sosa (Nestort), Florencio Villarreal (Terry), Imelda Swetnam (Mike), Bertha Lopez (Lionel), Polo Villarreal, and Juan Villarreal; and numerous nephews and nieces.
