ARUFFOAlfonso James Aruffo, affectionately known as “Jim,” of Newtown Square, passed away surrounded by his loved ones in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, on the evening of November 27, 2017. He was 85 years old. Jim is survived by his loving partner of 50 years, Joyce Roggio. He is also survived by his three children, Donna Pinkston (Michael), Anthony Aruffo (Carol), Lisa Aruffo-Sweeney (Gerard), and their mother, Marian Aruffo; his five grandchildren; Stephanie Kedersha (Jarrod), Danielle Tansley (Rob), Remi Roggio, Lydia and Charlie Aruffo; and two great-grandchildren, Rhylee and Taryn Kedersha. Jim also leaves behind Joyce’s children, Richard Roggio and Evelyn Roggio; Bob Roggio, Rachael Roggio, Victor Roggio; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; as well as many other devoted family, friends, and work associates. Jim was a vivacious, shrewd, and intelligent businessman, and had a long and successful career in the manufacturing business. Throughout the years, Jim forged numerous friendships with many dedicated employees, partners, and associates, whose devotion to him and his work is greatly appreciated by the family. He retired in 2005 after serving as Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Products Corp., for 36 years. Despite his retirement, Jim remained active and continued to work on various projects until his enjoyed golfing with friends, and spending time with Joyce, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at the Jersey Shore, where he loved to enjoy a scotch by the pool. He will be remembered as a leader by both his family and business associates, and will be greatly missed. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Lucia (nee Iacone) and Frank Aruffo; his brothers, Frank Jr., James and Robert Aruffo, his sisters, Daisy Cippola and Dora Pedicone and his stepson, Bill Roggio.
