Alex S. Ciechanowski, 90, of New Britain passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn (Niko) Ciechanowski. Born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Walter and Katherine (Sobcinska) Ciechanowski, he lived in New Britain for the past 50 years and was a member of St. Jerome Church. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Engineering and retired from Noble and Westbrook Manufacturing Co. after many years of employment. Alex was devoted to his family and had a special bond to his pets. He leaves his son and daughter-in-law Ronald and Terry Ciechanowski of Reeders, PA, his daughter Karen R. Ciechanowski of New Britain, his nephew Brian Ciechanowski of New York and his niece Diane Eigenbrodt of PA. He was predeceased by his brother Stanley Ciechanowski and his sister Evelyn Manley.
