Alex Bernard Mathey, III 1952~2013 Alex Bernard Mathey, III, 61, of LaSalle, passed away, Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru. Alex was born on September 12, 1952, in LaSalle, to Alex and Vera (Rimmele) Mathey.
He retired from Lonestar Industries and continued to work in maintenance at the Holiday Inn Express, Peru. He enjoyed fishing, sports, and playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his mother, Vera Mathey of Peru; 2 sons, Jason (Monica) Mathey of Oglesby and Jared (Jacquelyn) Mathey of Charleston, SC, and 7 grandchildren, and his life companion Laura Stanton of LaSalle. He was preceded in death by his father Alex.
