Alena Faye Rowan, 99 of Delray Beach passed away peacefully at Abbey Delray Health-center on Sunday July 13th under Hospice Care. She was born in Granger County Tennessee in October 1914. She was a war bride and married Lt. Ralph Rowan (while he was Assistant Base Operations officer at the Avon Park Army Air Corp training center) during the Second World War in Highlands County Florida in 1943.
She is survived by Linda and John Snipes of Decatur, Georgia and Edward and Lorie Rowan of Boca Raton. Her Grandchildren include Jody Petrow of Bellevue, Nebraska, Andrea Rowanhill of Crozet, Virginia and Dana Rowangould of Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition, she is has six great grandchildren.
