Aldo Piscia, 99, of LaSalle, passed away, Monday, January 4, 2021 at St. Margaret’s Health, Spring Valley.
Mr. Piscia was born December 29, 1921 in Oglesby to Antonio and Assunta (Leva) Piscia. He served in the U.S. Army, Company L, 172nd Infantry Regiment, 43rd Division, Pacific Theater of Operations stationed in the islands of the South Pacific. He married Martha Entwistle in July 1948 in Oglesby. She passed away November 17, 1996.
Mr. Piscia worked at Lone Star Cement, was a member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, LaSalle and the Oglesby American Legion. He enjoyed playing the guitar, reading and watching old movies.
He is survived by a son, Thomas (Judy) Piscia of LaSalle; two grandsons, Jason (Joni) Piscia of Springfield and Matthew (Carrie) Piscia of Florida and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and two sisters, Isabelle Sadnick and Rena Rygalski.
