ALBERTA ROSE HEINZELMAN
Indianapolis – Alberta Rose Heinzelman, 100, lifelong resident of Indianapolis, passed peacefully with her family by her side on December 19, 2020. Alberta was born October 3, 1920, in Indianapolis, to the late Jacob and Cresientia (Bedel) Kriech.
Alberta was a servant leader who served others with humility, integrity, kindness, and unconditional love to everyone she met.
Alberta was the “Rock” of the Heinzelman family. Being widowed at an early age with nine children, Alberta sacrificed and dedicated her life to her family. Her devotion and unconditional love of her family were paramount in her life. Nothing put a bigger smile on her face than celebrating life’s victories with her family. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, and GIGI to her great grand-children. Her hard work, dedication, devotion and her “can do” attitude has left an everlasting impact on her family. Her children were blessed by God with a hero, saint, and an amazing lady they were honored to call “mom”.
We would like to thank the St. Francis Hospice caregivers for the compassion, support, and love they demonstrated to mom and to our family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Heinzelman and her siblings, Florence Kriech, Edward Kriech and Vigil Kriech, her son Chuck Heinzelman, and granddaughter Stephanie Heinzelman Parks.
Survivors include her children, Janet Harris, Jim (Debbie), Bob (Jackie), Dave (Karen), Rose Mather, Rita (Mike) Fenton, Mary (Jack) Pardue, and John (Angie) Heinzelman; daughter-in-law, Pat Heinzelman; 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
