WINSTED – Albert “Albie” W. Groman, 65, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at his home. Born August 10 during the flood of 1955 at his family’s home in Winsted; the son of the late Chester and Florence (Ratigan) Groman. Albie worked as a heavy highway engineer for Local Union # 478 for 36 years before retiring. He loved snowmobiling, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his beloved companion, Kena Fischer for 24 years; cherished son, Robert “Rob” J. Groman; grandchildren, Braydin, Rihanna and Jaydin Groman; brother, Robert “Bobo” Groman; sister, Nancy Spring; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He also leaves his beloved pitbull, Buddy Luv. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Roger, Donald and Jerry.
