Griswold – Albert Romelus Bordeleau, 96, of Bitgood Road passed away Thursday, May 8, 2020 at W.W. Backus Hospital. As one of 12 children, Albert was born January 31, 1924 in Fitchburg, MA, son to the late Patrick and Emilia (Sylvestre) Bordeleau. On May 14, 1949 he married Helen (Bonchuk) Bordeleau and shared nearly 71 years of marriage together.
As a member of the Greatest Generation, Albert proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children Albert Bordeleau and his wife Pennee of Maine, James Bordeleau and his wife Linda of Griswold, and Joan Gelinas Warkentien and her husband Allan of Suffield, his brothers Paul Bordeleau and Henry Bordeleau, sisters Alice Voghel, Doris Loranger, and Jean Fischer. He is also survived by his grandchildren Adam, Kim, Jeff, Michael, Kristen and Craig and 10 great grandchildren.
