Albert R. Brandish, 88, of Manchester, formerly of Berlin, loving husband of 51 years to Charlotte (Falter) Brandish died peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 with his family at his side. Albert was born on January 25, 1928 in Hazleton, PA son of the late Albert and Esther (Corra) Brandish. He was a veteran of WW II serving his country in the US Army as a medic. Albert was the owner and President of Rebco Incorporated in Berlin for 32 years until his retirement in 2008.
As the owner of a heavy equipment repair company and a homeowner, he had the ability to repair and maintain almost anything, which he did throughout his life, including vintage cars. He was justly proud of the restoration of his iconic ’65 Mustang. He enjoyed camping and snowmobiling, and in his younger days, a good cigar. Albert always found the best in people. He had a keen sense of humor, bordering on the wry. In addition to his wife Charlotte, he is survived by his three daughters; Diane Gagnon and her husband Gary of Glastonbury, Tedi-Ann Busha of East Longmeadow, MA and Audra Brandish of Vernon and his two sons; Albert R. Brandish Jr. and Robert G. Brandish both of South Windsor. Albert also leaves his two grandsons; Brian Brandish and his wife Ja’me and their two children; Jared and Dylan of Buckhannon, WV and Evan Busha of East Longmeadow, MA. He was predeceased by a fondly remembered former son-in-law, Mark S. Busha.
