Albert J. Tardie 87, of 547 Clinton St. died Tuesday at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. He was the husband of Lillian (Vandemoortele) Tardie. Mr. Tardie was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Joseph and Eva (Rondeau) Tardie. He was a print technician for Whitins Machine Works/ ATF Davidson for thirty seven years retiring in 1983. He was a WWII Army Veteran.
Bert loved spending time at his summer home in Narragansett, traveling, boating, and fishing. He was a life time member of the VFW Post 6342 in Forestdale, and St. Joseph Veterans, he was also a member of the Royal Travelers, the Golden Heart Club, Kennedy Manor Club, St. Joseph and St. Louis Sr. Citizens, and the former Amical Franco Belge Club.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son Raymond A. Tardie and his wife Christine of N.Smithfield, a daughter Christine A. Heroux and her husband Gerard of Burrillville, a brother Roland Tardie of Burrillville, two sisters Doris Vanasse and Beatrice Gariepy both of Woonsocket, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Jacqueline S. Tardie and brother of the late Aline Gosselin.
