Albert J. Marcum, 83 of Centralia, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Mt. Vernon Health Care Center. He was born December 25, 1933 in Centralia, son of Samuel Marcum and Agnes (Wiggins) Marcum. He married Lola Lee (Kelly) Marcum on April 12, 1959 and she preceded him in death on September 20, 2002. He is survived by a daughter: Linda Howle and special friend Leon Bierman of Centralia; one sister: Evelyn Miller of Centralia; two nieces: Cathy Gibson and husband Doug of Centralia and Lavada Meadows and husband Danny of Woodlawn; two nephews: Robert Marcum and wife Becky of Centralia and Michael Marcum and wife Vonda of Clear Water, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother: Cecil Oral Marcum; a son-in-law: Richard Howle. Albert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 446 and the V.F.W. Post 2055. Albert was a truck driver for Valley Steel for 45 years and for Weber Trucking for 9 years he also enjoyed woodworking, mowing and gardening.
