Albert Jesse Lefevre, 81, a longtime Northview resident, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010. Albert was born on April 7, 1929, a son of the late Fernand M. and Lillian Weaver Lefevre. He is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Lefevre of Morgantown and Michelle Russ and husband Brian of Westover; daughter-in-law, Beverly Cavender, Greensboro, NC; four grandchildren that he loved and enjoyed giving a hard time; Adrienne Lefevre of Austin, TX, Hunter, Jacob and Ethan Russ of Westover; Steve and Donna Bond along with their children, who were looked on as his adopted family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ashley Lefevre, son Randy Lefevre, a granddaughter, Tatiana Lefevre, his sister, Iris McAfee, and his twin brother, Arthur Lefevre. Albert had worked as a window glasscutter at Rolland Glass and retired after 46 years from AFG in 1991. He was well known for his ability to remodel and being a Mr. Fix-it. During Albert’s life he had been actively involved with the Boy Scouts. He attended three National Jamborees as an assistant Scoutmaster. He was awarded the honor of the Silver Beaver for the work that he did with the scouts. He spent many hours working at Camp Mahonigan building and joking around. Albert attended a leadership conference at Philmont Scout Ranch in Taos NM as a reward for his efforts. He was a Trustee at the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 52 for over a decade for his post retirement activities. He was involved with the Belgian Society. His wit and sense of humor was what made him and he will be greatly missed by family and friends.
