Albert Harold Bargar was born to Oliver C. and Flossie J. (Parker) Bargar on January 14, 1924. There were two sisters also born to this union, Leta J. (Bargar) Weld and Opal Bargar. Opal died in infancy (at three months). Harold grew up in Baca County, CO, and graduated from High School in 1943 in Campo, CO. He went to Radio School in Colorado Springs, CO, soon after graduation. He then shortly received a notice from Uncle Sam, that he was needed for World War II.
