Albert Eugene “Gene” Gray, 80, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday March 24, 2016 in his home. Gene was born March 2, 1936 to Lyle Gray and Lanora Bowers Gray in Indianapolis Indiana.

Gene was an electrician who specialized in making neon signs; some of his signs can be seen in local businesses. He was in the Army during the late 1950s as a radar technician holding the rank of Private First Class. Gene’s hobbies included flying remote controlled airplanes, building model airplanes, making neon signs, and gambling at the casinos in Evansville and French Lick, Indiana. He loved animals, and his family. He battled health problems for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Patricia, step daughters; Suzi Bellinger and her husband Pete, and Vicki King, four step grandchildren; Jenny Baugh and her husband Andy, Shann Worrell and his wife Mondique, Chris Bellinger, and Stacy Worrell, and several great grandchildren. Other survivors include several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
