Albert Allen “Jinks” Hayes Sr.

                       Wilson….Albert Allen “Jinks” Hayes, Sr., passed away Thursday, April 06, 2023.

                         Albert was born in Wilson County, at the age of nineteen he served in the Navy. During his time in the Navy some of his duties were to clean the pill boxes on the beaches at Barbaree Point and Pearl Harbor. He was a life guard for the officers club. He was one of the group of men that started the Monument for USS Arizona, served on the USS Taylor going to several places around the world including France, Australia, and New Zealand. Albert worked with his father in the Open Air Market for twenty years, Whites Tire for six years and was part owner of Murray`s Retread center for twelve years and Owner and Operator of  A.A. Hayes Tire & Battery.

                         He was preceded in death by his parents, Preston Hayes and Elizabeth Grace O`Neal Hayes; brother, Preston Eugene Hayes; first wife of fifty four years, Judith Ferrell Hayes; sister, Peggy Elizabeth Hayes West; nephew, Micheal Glenn West.

                         He is survived by his second wife, Brenda Dixon Hardy Hayes; sons, Albert Allen Hayes, Jr. of the home, Ronald Joseph (Ronnie) Hayes (Joy) of Wilson, Patrick O`Neal Hayes (Tracy) of Auburn, Al.; grandchildren, Olivia Hayes of Wilson, Logan, Tristan, Preston, and Dalton Hayes of Auburn, Al; step-children, Kenneth Earl Hardy (Michelle), Angela Hardy Taylor; step-grandchildren, Ashley Hardy, Johnathan Hardy, Damian Squires, Lathan Manning; step – great-grandchild, Emma Squires; two nieces, one nephew, four great-nieces, and six great-nephews.
