Alba Marina Viña, age 74, of Gainesville, VA was received into Heaven on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Manassas Health and Rehab Center in company of family. She was born on September 12, 1942 in Bogotá, Colombia, the daughter of the late Gabriel Viña and Fanny López Viña. In her profession and community, she worked as a State-licensed daycare provider, where she helped many families through her work ethic, dedication and perseverance. Her selfless love for others was undeniable, always volunteering and giving of herself, never expecting anything in return. She was a long time member of the Fairfax Baptist Temple Spanish Ministry where she used the gift of singing as an active choir member and soloist. She also served as a Children’s Sunday School teacher, bus ministry worker and discipleship mentor to single women and mothers. Alba never stopped encouraging and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. A direct reflection of her Faith, character and mission in life, this is her legacy. Alba leaves behind many family members to cherish her memory, including her son, Jose F. (Rico) Aguirre and wife Tiffanie; her two daughters, Angelica Allen and husband Chris, Gloria Joudrey and husband Jonathan; brothers, Humberto Viña, Gabriel Viña, Edgar Cruz, Freddy Cruz; sister, Janette Viña; her beloved grandchildren, Kelsey Aguirre, Hailey Aguirre, Francisco Esteves and Jacob Allen.
