Alba Iris Figueroa Vazquez, 67, of Newnan, formerly of Orlando, Florida and Holyoke, Massachusetts, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. She was born February 5, 1953 in Yauco, Puerto Rico to the late Julio Figueroa & Ramona Vazquez. She grew up modestly, but at an early age found her calling to serve everyone she could by becoming a Registered Nurse with much sacrifice and dedication. She then found the Lord in her early 20’s to which she devoted the rest of her life to as well. If you knew her you knew that she was “Just here as a passenger because when the Lord was ready he’d take her home to be whole and new again where she’d have no more pain and be with those that she loved who went home before her.” In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Nathanael Torres Figueroa and siblings, Elsie Serrano Candelario, and Monserate Serrano Figueroa. Survivors include children, Kimberly (Steven) Quintana, Lizalba (Jesus) Caraballo; grandchildren, Jalysa Lee Torres, Jesus Caraballo, Jr., Emanuel Caraballo, Taela Jade Lea Torres Luippold, Jesuel Caraballo; siblings, Abraham Candelario Vazquez, Ariel Figueroa Vazquez, Ermelinda Figueroa Vazquez, Jesus Figueroa Vazquez, Noel Figueroa Vazquez; numerous nieces and nephews.
