Alaya Marie Proctor, left this world unexpectedly on March 4, 2020, in the warmth of the love of her mother and father.
She was an unexpected blessing to her parents that brought much happiness, peace, and excitement as they pondered what the future might hold for their daughter. Though she was only in their lives for a short time, they credit her with strengthening their bond of love, bringing them closer than they had ever been as a couple. They had so much love for Alaya and could not wait to show her what a lifetime of love could be like. They take great comfort in knowing that Alaya only knew love during her short time with them.
Alaya is survived, remembered, and loved by her parents, Martez Proctor and Cassandra Lockel; her siblings, Aria Proctor and Landan Lockel; her maternal grandparents, Terry and Cindy Schurtz; and her paternal grandparents, Dewayne and Linda Hardeman.
