Alan R. Kelly LCSW, age 63, of Clinton, beloved husband of Nancy Eichinger Kelly of 40 years, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2009 after a brief illness. Born June 24, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Loretta McGarry Kelly of Milford and the late LaMar C. Kelly.
Alan served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era as a SPC 6. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of New Haven, a Masters degree in Education from Wayne State University and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Utah. For 30 years, Alan owned and operated a private practice in Marriage and Family Therapy in Milford.
In addition to his wife, Nancy, survivors include his two sons Joshua A. Kelly of Branford and Ethan A. Kelly of Clinton, a brother LaMar R. Kelly and his wife Eileen of Branford and 7 cherished nieces and nephews. Alan was predeceased by his son Clayton J. Kelly and his brother David J. Kelly.
