Alan D. Chastain Sr., 66, of Anderson, passed away on November 14, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on June 27, 1946 in Mitchell, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson. Alan graduated from Anderson High School and received his Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Anderson University. He served his country in the Air Force and Army National Guard. He is a retired Security Guard for Pendleton Correctional Facility. He loved to play golf, basketball, baseball and bowling.
Alan is survived by his loving spouse whom he married , Sharon Allen Chastain, of Anderson, IN, son, AJ Chastain, son, Michael Chastain, grandson, Ian Chastain, grandson, Stephen Chastain, brother, Daniel Carolyn Chastain, sister, Janetta Stills, sister, Cindy Toombs, uncle, Donald Joyce Chastain, mother-in-law, Virginia Allen, cousin, John Chastain, cousin, Roger Chastain and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Chastain and father-in-law, Jack Allen.
