Agnes M. Nelson, 93, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Agnes was born in Wisconsin Rapids February 7, 1919 to parents John L and Antoinette (Lamers) Johnson. She married Kenneth G. Nelson September 28, 1974 who preceded her in death on June 18, 2004.
Agnes was employed at Wood County Telephone Co. for 35 years and retired in October, 1979. She spent the following 20 happy winters in McAllen, Texas with her husband Kenneth Nelson, visiting family and many friends.
Agnes is survived by son Albert (Judy) Nelson of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Daughter-in-law Rosemary Nelson of Marshfield, Wisconsin; her sister Evelyn (Harold) Mlsna of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Donald Nelson, five brothers; Louis, Edward A., William A., Albert, Norbert, and two sisters, Nellie Johnson and Josephine Lain.
