Agnes Lucina Gleiforst (Neville) was a caring and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She went peacefully on her journey to the Lord in the early morning hours of Sunday, February 6th, 2022, at the age of 87.
She was born on Sunday, October 1st, 1934, to Nicholas and Elizabeth (Fowler) Neville in South River, Clarke’s Beach, Newfoundland, Canada.
Growing up, Agnes was closest to her sister Irene and did everything together. They often dressed alike in clothes made by their mother, a great seamstress.
At about the age of 19, Agnes met the love of her life, a United States Sailor named Louis Gleiforst at a skating rink. Four years later they were married on January 11th, 1958. Together, they had five children.
Agnes was a deeply faithful Catholic in everyday life.
Agnes is preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Elizabeth Neville; Husband Louis Gleiforst; Son, Richard (widow Nancy) Gleiforst; Sisters, Mary Neville, and Marguerite (Raymond) Power (formerly Marguerite (William) Snow); Brothers, Patrick Neville, and Francis (Kathleen) Neville; and Great Grandson Bennett. She is survived by her Sister Irene (Sister of Mercy) Neville; Children, William (Janet) Gleiforst, Louise Smith, Gerard Gleiforst, and Dawn (Michael) Robinson; 7 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grand Children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Agnes donated to many charities during her lifetime. One of her fondest was St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
