Agnes was born September 1, 1929 in Campbell, Ohio, the daughter of Paul and Mary Macejko. She married Leonard James Martinko, of Youngstown, Ohio on August 4, 1950 and together they were married 42 years. In 1960, Agnes and Leonard moved to Kensington, MD which became their lifelong home and where they raised a family.

Agnes was active in Girl Scouts and served as a Troop Leader for many years. She also served as a member of The Sanctuary Club of St. Catherine Laboure Chirch in Wheaton, MD. She began her career at the Hecht Company (now Macy’s) at Montgomery Mall (now Westfield Montgomery) in Bethesda, MD in 1966, and continued working there until she retired in 2002. She was Manager in charge of the Silver and China Department, where she excelled in sales, won numerous sales awards, and made Montgomery Mall rank the highest volume of sales in the Silver and China Department for a number of years.

She will be dearly missed by her children Carol Stanton of Denver, CO, Diane (Don) Colville of Frederick, MD, Leonard J. Martinko, Jr. (Erin) of Derwood, MD and James P. Martinko (Jane) of Rockville, MD; grandchildren Tamara Stanton, Shane Stanton, Rory Stanton (Holli), Jeremy Colville (Frankie), Jesse Colville (fiancAC. Ashley), Daniel Martinko (Kelly), Michael Martinko, Emily Martinko, Jordan Martinko, Jenna Martinko and Jillian Martinko; great grandchildren Jake Colville, Adam Colville and Rhyan Stanton; sister-in-law Elizabeth Thomas of Youngstown, OH, sister-in-law Loretta Macejko of Struthers, OH and brother-in-law John Martinko of Boardman, OH as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Leonard J. Martinko, sister Kathryn Yaniglos, brothers John and Frank Macejko.

The family wishes to thank all of their friends and work associates for all their kindness, love and support over the past years.
