Afton Lowry, 79, died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at her home, surrounded by family. Afton was born on April 7, 1938 in Burley, Idaho, the daughter of Charles and Thelda Gransbury. She is the 6th child of 14 siblings. On September 7, 1978 she married Raymond Lowry, they lived most of their life in the Rupert area.
Afton worked and retired from McCain Foods in Burley. She enjoyed quilting and being with her family. Afton is survived by her husband, Raymond, daughter, DeLoy Koch of Nampa, sons Delno (Sandy) Koch of Burley, Dennis Koch of Murtaugh, Peggy (Larry) Staker, Wesley (Judy) Lowry, David (Sue) Lowry, Lynette (Dan) Southwick and Bart Lowry all of Utah and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Afton is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
