Adeline “Lena” Disarmato (Nee Fiore), 91 of Toms River, NJ, formerly of Boca Raton, Fl and Staten Island, NY, passed away Friday October 28, 2011 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Norwich, Conn., she lived in Staten Island for 55 years and Boca Raton, Fl. for 31 years before moving to Toms River in April.

Mrs. Disarmato was an Executive Medical Secretary at Staten Island Hospital for 22 years, retiring in 1980. Adeline was very active in the Century Village Anslie C Clubhouse, where she participated in Dancing, the Bicycle Club, swimming and was an excellent Mahjong, Bridge and Canasta player. While living in Boca Raton, she was a Fashion Model for upscale women’s boutiques and was the secretary for the Habilitation Center. Adeline was an accomplished artist, designing women’s apparel, pottery, calligraphy and brush painted arts. She loved to dance, cook, and bake.

Predeceased by her husband Frank in 1993. Surviving are her three daughters Annarae Weisel of Hazlet, NJ, Susan Putkowski and her husband Ken of Toms River, and Carole Gambello of Brooklyn, NY; 6 grandchildren Jason Putkowski and his fiancée Jillian Koehler of Toms River, Kristi Buongiorno and her husband Louis of Toms River, Eric Putkowski of Toms River and Marisa Marionakis of Hoboken, NJ. 2 great grandchildren Lucas and Evan Buongiorno. Also surviving are her brother Michael Fiore of Staten Island, NY and her sister Connie Iacono of Monroe, NY.
