Adelaide D. Porper, 86 of Whiting section of Manchester, NJ passed away on Friday March 1, 2013 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Jersey City, NJ she lived in Lavallette, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1997. Adelaide received her Associate Degree from Ocean County Community College, Toms River, NJ.
She was a Legal Secretary for Schultz & Schultz Law Firm in Jersey City, NJ for many years. Adelaide was a member of the Deborah Foundation Seaside Chapter and a member of Loyal Order of the Moose #399 in Ortley Beach, NJ. She was an avid reader and painter.
Predeceased by her husband Augustus in 1995. Surviving is her daughter June Cwierko and her husband Charles of Brick, NJ and five sisters Mary Custodio, Marge Wilkes, Joan Casey, Claire Englert, and Barbara Carbin.
